Tara Smith
Founder & Executive Director

Crystal Noe
Board Member-at-Large
Born in California, but raised in New Mexico, Tara always knew she wanted to chose a career helping others. This path led her to a career in Librarianship, where she gets to meet new and interesting people every day. Her love of dogs and the desire to do something for her community inspired her to start Comfy Carepacks.
Born and raised in Southern California, Deborah comes from a long line of educators and public servants. In 2014, she became a Librarian and that is where she met Tara. Knowing Tara has always dreamed about starting a nonprofit, Deborah was eager to help, as she is also the mother of three adorable cats.

Often mistaken as a crazy cat lady, Crystal is actually an animal lover and has experience rescuing, fostering and caring for a variety of animals. Being a part of a few service organizations, the last few years as a member of this board has been a truly rewarding opportunity… helping many animal/human families within the community!
Deborah Takahashi
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Born on a farm in Oklahoma, Cindy has been surrounded by animals her entire life and considers them members of the family. When
Cindy heard about the mission of Comfy Carepacks, she jumped at the chance to get involved and help animals in need. Cindy is a librarian and cat mom to Honey, and hopes to adopt a dog one day soon to take on hikes in the local mountains.

Originally from So. Calif, Beverly now resides in Washington State. She currently work in a Senior Accounting position with the Kitsap Public Health District for the last 27+ years. Her hobbies include crocheting, crafting, and being an online seller. She has one “tiny” 8-year-old Shih Tzu named Kobe that happens to be her sidekick. She is excited to join Comfy Carepacks and looks forward to serving the homeless pet community.
